$10 Yard Sale Makeover

YES, It is another $10 Yard Sale Makeover in the outskirts of the 'boro in NC...

I saw a Yard Sale on Saturday on the way to do a Coupon Makeover Class and I crossed my fingers that they would still be there when I came back

(the sky looked rather daunting).

I made it just in time (it was a little after 12:30) - they were loading up to call it a day when I pulled in. They were more than willing to let me browse thru there half loaded truck and encouraged me to take items so that they wouldn't have to do something else with them!

This mom had homeschooled (as do I) and she had 15 of these Young Christian Reader Books and some other science type books that I picked up as well. I have crafted some childrens necklace and hairbows in the past and have always wanted a "t" bar to display, A storage container (which will be used for a number of different things), some plastic coat hangers, and 4 amber dessert glasses/bowls for my mom.

This next picture shows a "do it yourself" mug for kids, a Jesus night light, a wood plaque (time to revisit my One Stroke Painting skills:), a Noah's ark sugar and creamer set, an 8-piece wooden game set, and a white flower bowl/vase.

This last part of the picture is a 3-piece set of rods to hang in the closet, a "bean shaped" wicker basket (great size for dd9mo. baby toys), and a gorgeous burgandy and black metal basket.

There was a small gal doing the sale with her and she had some clothes that could be used for my dd8...ummm, like these Ralph Lauren skinny polo shirts (2 short sleeves and 2 long sleeves).

Would I also like these sweaters blue and gold cardigan and slate blue sweater hoodie from Aeropostale and a cute short sweater from Sweater Project...yes please! I did have to pick through a number of things that would be modest for my dd8 to wear - I liked what I got (but I regret not picking up the jeans...)

So here is a pic of all the items together (minus the clothes) and do you remember the cost...a whopping $10! I love re-thinking Yard Sale Season if you are on a budget. If I get some extra cash, I will be out early and map out my locations, and hit them bad boys with a vengeance. BUT in my house, going at "closing time" and my $10 budget for spending can go a long way in providing gifts for my children and family, along with special "thrifty treasures" to use in my household of 6:)

BTW, I had a Noah's Ark tea pot at home and look...perfect match!

Just wanted to thank you for stopping by "too Blessed to Stress" and commenting. I know how you feel about the baskets. I think we Basket-a-Holics need a support group. We'll have snacks... served in baskets of course!
